J&JZ Wedding

The wedding and reception were held at a beautiful old synagogue near downtown Miami. Huge greek pillars guarded the entrance to the enormous sanctuary.

When Janette walked into the room the crowd cheered and the sphardic tradition of trilled howls filled the hall. It was not a quiet, solemn event.

However, there were moments when you could hear a pin drop. When the Rabbi pulled us close as he recited the 7 blessings for man and wife, our families and friends stood in silence. The emotion that filled the room affected everyone in a unique way. Some cried, some meditated and everyone felt connected.

And then the party started!!!

As soon as the we entered the reception the party started. Except for a few breaks to eat and drink the party rolled on for hours.

Very happy parents. Denise and Sergio

The South American tradition of Carnival, complete with tambourines and extravagant decorations, added an exciting flare to the event. For the Lawrence side of the wedding, this was a new experience.
