Trip to Mexico, November 2008

Hey! We know it has been a while since we blog, but our trip to Mexico is worth the blogging!
The trip started in Oaxaca for the wedding, but we then went further south to Huatulco to enjoy the beaches.

Day 1: We arrived to Oaxaca late at night, but were invited for mole and drinks by the Alaskan gang who had already arrived. The mole was delicious!!!

There's Joran on the far right. It was a great way of begining our vacation and experience in Oaxaca.

We stayed at: Casa de mis Recuerdos in Oaxaca. A very quaint Bed and Breakfast where the bed AND the breakfast was AMAZING!!!

Day 2: Saturday, the wedding! The wedding began at 3pm, so we had some time to walk around and do some explorations. Here is a picture of the Church Santo Domingo and another one of Sharon barganing a good price for a carpet. Look at all the colors!!!

At about 2pm we got into a bus and were driven to Hacienda los Durantes, El Tule where the wedding took place. It was a beautiful and although there was a roof, it was outdoors and very natural.

Day 4: Monte Alban, ruins

Monte Alban was not far from where we were staying, so we got into a cab and went to see the ruins. Our tour guide was Don Victor. He was like in his 80's and been working as a tour guide for many many years. He was excellent! We went to the ruins with Joran's parents and Ron and Sharon Z-Z. I had never seen ruins before, so it was exciting.
